About Coral Crusaders
Our People
We are composed of tededicated high school students with a shared passion for technology, ocean engineering, and environmental sustainability. We are also mentored by our wonderful coach, Mike Pesavento. Our mission is to design, build, and operate remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) that tackle real-world underwater challenges while developing critical engineering, programming, and teamwork skills.
Our Accomplishments
In 2023 we won the Pacific Northwest Regional competition, in 2024 we placed second, and in 2025 we won the Pacific Northwest Regional competition again. All three years we qualified for the MateROV World Championships. Last year, we scored 4th overall and won the award for Marketing Display at worlds.
As we dive into the 2026 competition season, we have our sights set on winning the MateROV World Championships.
